My best memory of Ben is from 2022.  He helped me organise a visit to Purley Hall for the Berkshire Gardens Trust.  It was a very hot day but this did nothing to dent his energy as we started on a lap of the grounds with Ben in the lead.  He recently had figured out something about the shape of the lake and his unbridled enthusiasm for the landscape shown through.  He will be greatly missed.
